Frequently Asked Questions

Why are we here? What does it all mean? Where did I put my keys?

  • What is the dress code?

Please check out the Attire Page

  • Are kids allowed?

Yes!  Here are a few things you might want to know:

    • The ceremony is outside at an amphitheater at the top of a mountain.
    • The reception is inside at a bar, in a semi-private area.  While kids are welcome, just keep in mind there may not be a lot there to entertain them.  There is an outside area that will be accessible as well.
  • How do we get to the ceremony?

You’ll be able to drive right up to the Amphitheater.  There is limited parking at the top of Flagstaff Mountain, so we are asking everyone to carpool (at least 3, preferably 4 to a car) when possible.  If you need a carpool buddy, let us know and we’ll match you up!

  • Do we really have to run up a mountain?!?

    Nope!

As you probably know, running in the mountains is a huge part of our lives.  We’re lucky enough to be getting married on top of one mountain, and thought it’d be fun to run to the neighboring peak after the ceremony.

If you are a trail runner: please join us! We think this will be a lot of fun, and we’ll take photos at the top.

If you are a road runner: please join us! Understand that this trail is challenging if you’re not used to running up mountains, but we’re going to take it at a reasonable pace and likely hike a good chunk.

If you do not want to run: there are so many great trails in Boulder, we hope you’ll consider a hike!  Check out the What to Do section for suggestions.

  • What is the weather like in Boulder in June?

June is normally a gorgeous month in Boulder.

Expect lows in the 40s and 50s, and highs in the 70s or 80s.

Generally it’s quite sunny, but there’s a good chance of afternoon storms.

Colorado weather can be highly variable, especially this close to the mountains – come prepared for the weather to weather hard!

  • What are the food options at the reception?

Our reception is at a place called Rayback Collective.

The “catering” is by outdoor food trucks.  There are at least 2 and sometimes 3 options, and you’ll be able to choose from whatever you like best.  The trucks rotate, so we don’t yet know what will be available on June 15th, but you can check their website for updates closer to the date!
